This is a quick little doodle fanart for *AvocadoLove's awesomly amazing fanfiction, "Another Brother"--> [link]
Her story is an AU where ten-year-old Zuko was scarred and nearly killed by the Fire Nation until Hakoda found him and took pity upon him. This story is about Zuko growing up in the Southern Water Tribe with Sokka and Katara as surrogate siblings. The fanfic is rich in detail, humor, cultural values, not to mention a few surprising twists that make total sense if you think about them! So anyway, this is a pic of the three sibs fishing before they got swept into the faster waters that ultimately led them to Aang. Sokka and Zuko have a system worked out where Zuko paddles and Sokka spears the fish. Katara just came along because it was this or washing Sokka's socks, probably. See how interested she is? Anyway, read the story if you haven't! It's amazing! P.S. That boat could totally hold them all in real life! (yeah right...) P.P.S. What is it with me and ice? It seems that every time I do a background art for Avatar, it always ends up being in the South Pole... We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. To help support the Literature community we hold regular contests. It is an opportunity for you to get involved and gain some exposure.
