Death Note-- The Wammy House

This could have been titled better, but I'm feeling unfortunately uncreative today. Ah well... it tells it like it is.

So, Merry Christmas everyone! To celebrate, I thought I'd make my first ever Death Note fanart. In the anime, when Watari comes to the Wammy house with L in tow, it's snowing, so I figured it had to be around Christmas or so.

The relationship between L and Watari makes me wibble! The fact that they go way back to when L was first brought to the orphanage and that they're still together today is so sweet! I think it's also pretty neat how Watari is the only person L truly trusts.

So, artistically, I tried to make this picture a little different than my regular action poses. The angle of the picture is coming from slightly overhead, which was definitely a challenge to draw, especially since L is looking up at the church-like tower anyway! I made the bricks curve a little, just to give it more of the appearance of something that might be viewed overhead. Also, the stained glass in the background is the actual stained glass called "The Rose" from Notre Dame. The picture of The Rose was taken by me originally, so I stole nothing! The magic wand tool, which I normally can't stand, helped me save hours of my time by picking all the black out from between the glass, that I wanted to get rid of! So thank you, magic wand tool!

Anyway, I hope you all like this picture! While I finished fairly quickly, I'm pleased that it turned out so well!
