Woot, first art of the year! Happy New Year, everyone! I spent the first day of my new year inside, both because I woke up sick this morning and the fact that outside is, and I am NOT exaggerating, an ice rink. There is about an inch of ice on the roads, meaning cars are sliding everywhere and crashing into everything. It's super dangerous, so I just went food shopping yesterday and holed up in my apartment.

Yesterday, my Rise of the Guardians Art Book arrived in the mail and there was one picture in the book that I kept going back to look at. The style of it was really pretty to me, so I wanted to give it a shot! If you have the book, the page I'm talking about is pg. 123. It's on the bottom left of that page. They were talking about how they used Film Noir to inspire Pitch and his hideout and that sharp, contrasting colors would be used to make it up.
