2014 in Review

I've done this for seven years and it would be a shame to break the tradition, yeah?  So, even though I did less art this year than in years past... here's 2014 in review, for year eight! 

Most Proud of:



My reduction block print from the art class I took last January!  It was such a fun class and this was an awesome project!  I'm still proud of how it turned out, because I worked so hard to get this right! 

My Best:



If I could make this one again, I would fix up how the sky and the roof seem to mesh together.  I would also change the direction of the points, but seriously, I'm so happy with how this turned out!  Especially the fountain and the window of the little sun room to the left. 

Most Overrated:



This picture gave me the most grief while I was making it, and after I uploaded it here.  Guh.

Most Under-appreciated:



I love how the folds of her dress turned out... but not many people seemed to notice it.  Ah well... it goes how it goes, yeah?

Most Fun:



This one basically drew itself!  It was such a silly concept and I enjoyed every second of making it! 

Sexiest:



Look at all those sexy mofos!

Holy crap that's wrong, even for me:



Not necessarily because it's bad, but mainly because I can't believe how emo I felt while making it.

Shifted my own perceptions of the character(s):



I haven't quite got how I see Will in my head, but this made me so happy to make!

Biggest disappointment:



I love the first panel, but the last two just look like I couldn't be arsed.  *sigh*

Biggest Surprise:



I drew this one after a HUGE break in drawing and I was so surprised that it came out so well!  I was thinking I'd have to start back at square one with my drawing skills, but discovered that it's just like riding a bike! 

Most Difficult:



This one is constructed from colored paper and glue.  You cannot imagine how long it took me to make this.  I mention it in the artist comments for this picture as well, but paper and glue is a MUCH harder medium to work with because you can't just paint over it if you make a mistake.  Any mistakes are there forever.  I made a few with this one, but it was very satisfying when I finally finished it!  If people can still recognize her, then I think I did an okay job!
