And now I'm into Game of Thrones... (no spoilers)

The inevitable finally happened... I am in the Game of Thrones fandom!  My co-worker/good friend has been pestering me for a while to start watching it and since we work in a secondhand bookstore, I had found books 1 and 3.  My co-worker told me that the easiest thing to do was watch at least the first season and then read the books so at least I could keep better track of the characters in my head. 

So I have seen all three seasons and am REALLY looking forward to season 4 starting on Sunday!!  I am also reading the books (I went out and bought the ones I was missing).  I am absolutely in love with George R.R. Martin's writing style!  It's so amazingly well-written that I'm sad it took me so long to start them!  I'm quite a fast reader, and I have been reading book 1 for about a week now... I'm only halfway through!  But I love it!  <3

So... favorite character...  For the first time in a while, my favorite character is not one of the "main" characters, as I usually go with.  Bran Stark is my favorite, mostly because I feel like he has the most to lose, but also the most to gain.  I'm really interested to see where the story takes him (no spoilers, please!  Not even hints!  I'll get to the other books as soon as I finish the first one!).  Second favorite character is Jon Snow because a) he's a complex character with interesting goals and b) he's rather easy on the eyes.    I'm also a huge fan of Arya, Brienne, Daenerys, Jaime Lannister, Osha, Tyrion, Catelyn Stark, and Jaquen H'ghar.  And even though he's a horrible person, Joffrey is an awesome bad guy!
